I Won My First Henries Award!
Earlier on in the year, I woke up to an email saying that I had been shortlisted for the Henries 2024, in two award categories!
-The Best Cute Range
-The Lynn Tait award for The Most Promising Young Designer/Artist
What an honour!
For those of you that aren’t sure what the Henries are then they are the ultimate accolades in greeting card publishing, and each year some 14,000 cards are entered! Named after Sir Henry Cole (who introduced the first commercially produced Christmas card in 1843), The Henries were introduced by Progressive Greetings Worldwide magazine in 1996 as annual awards to shine the spotlight on greeting card ranges.
Top retail buyers from right across the retail spectrum including specialist multiples, design-led independents, small groups, department store selectors and supermarket buyers are included in the judging process, and Little Roglets, out of the thousands, had only gone and been chosen as the winner for the ‘Best Cute Range’ - I still can’t believe it.
So on the 3rd October 2024, we made our way up to London for the ever so fancy industry event that I’d heard so much about. Well it didn’t disappoint, and even more so due to the fact that I came home with an extra, super shiny item in my suitcase. It’s so pretty I was showing everyone in my path, including the kind man that let us into our hotel room in the early hours of the next day.
Honestly, the companies I was up against - some of the biggest names in the industry - is mad to me. It also happened to be my first year of entering, so it felt even more special to be recognised and to win the award.
Yipppee! Onwards and upwards Little Rogs <3
