Firstly, thank you so much for stopping by. The happy shimmy really hasn’t stopped after all these years, whenever an order or enquiry comes through.
In a nutshell, I paint watercolour animals in the form of friendly little characters that make up the products you can find here on my shop. Having had a paintbrush in my hand since I was tiny, as well as always being the one to be surrounded by animals, I feel incredibly grateful to now combine and share the love I have for both art and animals with you, and create pieces that can hopefully be cherished for years to come. My paintings are happy and fun and the faces you see are very often inspired from my travels and the animals I’ve encountered along the way.
Family is also behind everything I do, gaining inspiration not only from nature, but greetings for my cards often come from the things I’d want to say to my friends as I witness them embark on the ever-evolving journey that is the one of parenthood. If you hadn’t already guessed, my designs really come from the heart and I feel passionately about creating products that encourage families coming together, whether that be spending quality time doing a puzzle, or bonding over learning new things via flashcards or my feelings print.
Although today my work focuses mainly on products, whether that be prints for children, early learning or gifts for new parents, I’ve been lucky enough to be involved in various other projects. From wall murals to window art for shops, fabric design, school visits, interior projects and other one off pieces, I still take on bespoke work should my diary allow it, so don’t hesitate to reach out.
The environment is considered throughout the whole creative process, from eco-friendly packaging, to sourcing printers that also share the same values. We also plant trees for every order - feel free to visit our little forest here.
I adore kids and animals, so what better way to structure this little business than around the things in life that make pretty much everyone happy!?
I’m always on the other end of an email so if you get stuck or have any questions, drop me a line and I’ll be happy to help.
Looking forward to working with you.
Lex :)
