So, 2021 ay?

As I sit here and try and wrap my head around the fact that it’s the last day of 2021, I felt called to have a reflect and a write up of the working year. If you can’t have a little toot toot at some of the key things you have achieved on the last day of the year, then when can you! Somewhat crazy, but also an expansive one for Little Roglets.

So let me take you on a little journey.

  • Little Roglets didn’t start off as Little Roglets at the beginning of the year. In February I decided, with the way that the company was going and where I wanted it to go, the old ‘side hustle’ name just wasn’t cutting it anymore. So in April 2021, we rebranded. The hedgehog and ‘earthy’ branding works so well for what I had in mind and just fits perfectly with where we are heading.

  • Since the beginning of the year we have designed and introduced 15 new items to the product portfolio and in 2022 I hope to expand the card designs by at least 10 and release 5 new products (at least).

  • We partnered with Joules on their online ‘Friends of Joules’ marketplace

  • Mid year we got asked to collaborate on a very exciting project (that will be revealed next year!), but have been working away behind the scenes to get that ready to share for the year ahead.

  • In January, Little Roglets could only be found in one store. As of December 31st 2021, Little Roglet products are in 25 shops across the globe. August 2021, Little Roglets headed to it’s first international stockist - found in South Carolina, America - yay!

  • By the end of August, a store in Canada also joined the Little Roglets family. Proud is an understatement. Since then we have been in talks with an Australian store too and hope to have finalised an agreement by the start of 2022.

  • In August I outgrew my study and persisted to play a fun game of total wipeout/human Tetris after needing to triple stock levels and losing all possible floor space. With the help of others, we prepared and packed 1000 cards which was our biggest order yet.

  • After saying I wasn’t going to take on anymore commissions this year so I could focus on expanding.. whoops, between pet portraits and custom name art, 35 commissions ended up being completed!

  • I had my first interview for all things Little Roglets which lead onto our first feature in the press

  • In October this year, we had our first week long pop up shop in John Lewis in Southampton which was so much fun!

  • Oh! And we passed the 50 tree mark! Trees have been planted in Colombia, Canada BC, the Andes, Uganda, Indonesia, Kenya aaand we finished the year on a high with the last monthly world map donations going to our very own - The United Kingdom. Thank you SO much for all your map purchases since the middle of this year which is when we introduced the incentive. Without you we wouldn’t have been able to plant all these little saplings!

  • And finally, I managed to squeeze in a launch of my new brand, The Cosy Hippo, which can be found here.

I’ve made a vow to myself next year to make investments which make me more uncomfortable, but are needed to take Little Roglets further. And of course, new products to be added to the range! Some of which I am very excited about and can’t wait to share with you. I am intrigued to see where the company (and I!) will be on the last day of the year, next year.

As always, thank you so so much for everything. Your support never goes unnoticed.

A very happy New Year to you all. I hope 2022 brings you all a smooth ride, full of amazing things, and a whole load of love. See you on the other side!
